We need your help! On Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Carlsbad Village Association will once again partner with the San Diego Blood Bank to host the annual Heart of the Village Blood Drive at Barrio Glassworks (3060 Roosevelt St.) This much-loved community event is more than a date on the calendar; it’s an opportunity for neighbors, businesses, and friends to come together for a life-saving cause.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. From accident victims and surgical patients to those battling cancer or complications during childbirth, the need is constant and urgent. A single donation can save up to three lives, and in less than an hour, you can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
The process is easy: donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more, and feel healthy on the day of donation. Bring a photo ID, roll up your sleeve, and know that you’re contributing to something bigger than yourself. To help streamline the day, appointments are highly encouraged and can be reserved online.
The Heart of the Village Blood Drive isn’t just about giving blood; it’s about celebrating the spirit of Carlsbad Village. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors, businesses opening their doors to support, and a community proving just how strong its heart can be.
So, mark your calendar, spread the word, and join us in downtown Carlsbad on September 27. Together, we can keep the heartbeat of our Village strong.
